Women Entrepreneurship

“Networking: a tool for growth and competitiveness" was the topic of the 6th Congress on Women Entrepreneurship of the Adriatic and Ionian Area, which took place on 3rd and 4th November 2011 in Split (Croatia) at the headquarters of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, under the patronage of Mr Ivo Josipovic', the President of the Republic of Croatia.

Awards to innovation.

The Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce - Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship organized two days of free training for all the entrepreneurs who participated to the competition “Innovative women enterprises of the Adriatic and Ionian Area”.

The 33 innovative women-owned entreprises participated to the competition promoted by the Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship of the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce with the patronage of the Unioncamere and in collaboration with the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Ancona Chamber of Commerce and the Ancona Province.

During the eleventh Edition of the Forum of the Chambers of Commerce of the Adriatic and Ionian held in Budva (Montenegro) from 11th to 13th May 2011, the Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship awarded the winners of the competition that recognises the potential of women enterprises of the area.

The 5th Congress on Women Entrepreneurship held in Medjugorje (Bosnia-Herzegovina) on 8th and 9th November 2010 saw the participation of about 120 attendees gathered at the Herceg Etno Selo Conference Centre and discussing around the topic "Innovate to compete".

Approved during the 4th Congress of Women Entrepreneurship of the Adriatic and Area (26-27 October 2009 in Durres - Albania) the Charter of Values: a document that recognizes and values the potential and values expressed by female enterprises.

Friday, July 10, 2009 was held in Salerno at the Chamber of Commerce, the fifth leg of the second "Giro d'Italia", promoted by Unioncamere, the Committees for the Promotion of Women and the Chambers of Commerce, with the support of Retecamere, to enhance the women who run businesses and ideas, new projects between institutions and society.

The usual appointment for exchanging of ideas, proposals and projects, promoted by the Forums' Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship, that will further strengthen the entrepreneur role of women from Adriatic and Ionian Area, was held in Pržno(Montenegro) from 9th to 10th October 2008.

Was held in Ancona 30 to 31 May 2007 the II Congress of Women Entrepreneurship of the Adriatic and Ionian Area. While the initiative has been presented for the first time The network of women-owned businesses AIC: a storefront that will allow you to create a network among the women-owned businesses in the two areas.
