Women Entrepreneurship
The Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship has been working since 2003 within the Forum of the Chambers of Commerce of the Adriatic and Ionian Area with the aim of implementing actions and projects between the Forum member countries, as well as of promoting occasions of collaboration to develop initiatives that help facilitate an exchange of ideas and good practices, thereby harmonizing the strategies for women entrepreneurship.
The AIC Forum member countries pursue the following objectives
- Promotion and development of Women Entrepreneurship
- Creation of an institutional network of women associations and enterprises
- Territory mapping trough quantitative analyses of the entrepreneurial phenomenon
- Mainstreaming and spreading of good practices
- Exchange of knowledge, information, projects and ideas on the occasion of an annual meeting testifying to the entrepreneurial initiative of women and offering them business and contact occasions

WHY A NETWORK OF THE AIC FORUM WOMEN ENTREPRISES?
The need for communication and networking first emerged on the occasion of the first Conference of the AIC Forum Women, which took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 20th and 21st April 2006, and was then confirmed by the results of the Workgroup on Women Entrepreneurship held during the 6th edition of the AIC Forum that was organized in Durres, Albania, on 25th and 26th May 2006.
Hence the web portal realized by the Committee for the Promotion of Women Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce of Ancona: the portal is a virtual showcase of female associations and enterprises facing the Adriatic, which would like to get in touch, exchange information and knowledge and share ideas and projects.
